Aigul-Tash Mountain is located near the village of Kara-Bulak in Batken region. The mountain has steep rocky slopes. This place is really unique, because only here grows the flower-endemic Aigul. It is mysterious and incredibly beautiful; its petals are of bright-orange color.
According to a sad but romantic legend, the flowers grew up here after a beautiful girl, whose name was Aigul, rushed from the mountain on the sharp rocks, unable to bear the death of her lover. The "Moonflower" Ajgul is listed in the Red Book. The flower blooms only for two weeks a year, at the beginning of April.
The area where Aigul-Tash and its surroundings are situated became the state reserve.
