Karakol is located in a place with unique climate influenced by the lake and mountains of the Tien Shan, so it is easy to breathe, and there you feel exceptional comfort and peace. The city is famous for its avenues full of high silver poplars and apple orchards.
Here you can also enjoy the architectural masterpieces belonging to different cultures (The Russian Orthodox Holy Trinity Cathedral, Dungan Mosque and others). Karakol is a good place to start the journey to the nearby mountains and gorges. In the warmer months hiking is extremely popular here, in winter a lot of people come here to ski in the mountains.
