Although Talas is a relatively small town, it has won great fame because, according to the legend, this is where the famous hero Manas was born and lived.
A few kilometers from the town is the Mausoleum (Gumbez) of Manas. Not far from the town there are the gallery of petroglyphs and cave paintings and the site of ancient humans.
