Manas Peak is the highest point of the ridge Talas Ala-Too and one of the highest points of the Western Tien-Shan. Its height is 4488 m above sea level.
Talas is the administrative center of Talas region of Kyrgyzstan. It is located in the north-east of the country, at the altitude of 1280 m, 360 km from Bishkek.
In the valley of Besh-Tash, on the banks of a river there stretches for 30 km a national park established in 1996. It occupies the area of more than 32 thousand hectares.
