Boom gorge is a kind of thread connecting two regions: Chuy and Issyk Kul. It is traversed by the railway and the highway, leading from the capital to the pearl of Kyrgyzstan - the Issyk Kul Lake. The length of the gorge is about 30 km.

Traveling through the gorge you can enjoy beautiful views of the high mountains, somewhere steep and rocky, and somewhere flat, and the rapid flow of the river Chu.

At the entrance of the gorge there is a unique water source Cold Springs, where travelers often stop to have rest during the long trip. Boom Gorge is also a popular place for rafting and hiking.
