Batken is the administrative center of Batken region. It is located in the south of the country, about 240 km from the city of Osh.
Osh Region
Kulunatin Reserve
Kulunatin national reserve is located in the South of Kyrgyz Republic, Osh region. It covers the territory of Ferghana and Alai mountain range. The reserve was established in 2004 for preservation of biodiversity of these lands.
Jalal-Abad Region
Padysh-Ata Reserve
Padysh-Ata reserve is located on the territory of Jalal-abad region, western Tien-Shan. The reserve area equals 30,560 hectares.
Issyk Kul Region
Karakol Gorge
5 km to the south of the town Karakol a gorge of the same name is located. The gorge has a length of 40 km and it is adjacent to the ridge Terskey Ala-Too.
