A fascinating off-road tour will pass through beautiful places along complex passes and serpentines. We will visit the hunter’s house who will tell us some interesting facts about the amazing type of hunting - falconry. You can also take pictures with his birds.

In addition we will visit the famous gorge with red rocks - Jeti-Oguz, will take part in the process of weaving a felt carpet. Throughout the whole route you’ll see fantastic nature landscapes! For lovers of extreme sports we offer a ride down the mountain river on inflatable boats.

Day
1

Bishkek – Chychkan

Our guide will pick you up at “Manas” International Airport and we’ll start our trip to the Chychkan gorge. The road passes through the southern part of Kyrgyzstan. During the transfer be prepared for amazing views of the impressive mountains and gorges. Today you will see amazing panorama views form Too Ashuu pass that is more than 3 000 meter high. This road is considered to be one of the most beautiful in Kyrgyzstan. You will have many photo stops to remember this day. Your dinner and night will be in a guesthouse.

2

Chychkan – Jalal Abad

Early in the morning we start our driving towards Jalal Abad town. It is the administrative and economic center of Jalal-Abad Province in southwestern Kyrgyzstan, with a population of about 89,000. It is situated at the north-eastern end of the Fergana valley. In Djalal Abad town we will see its famous Uzgen Tower. This tower was built in 11th century by Karakhanids. There are also there mausoleums that were used as burial places for the leaders. The whole road will surprise you by its celestial mountains and excellent panorama views. Night you will spend in a local home stay.

Jalal Abad – Kazaraman

Today we will drive to Kazarman village. 93% of Kyrgyzstan is mountainous with nomadic life in remote places – our country is a real paradise for people that are in love with mountains and unusual cultures. The route takes you along roads that wind along incredible gorges. During your drive be prepared for amazing views of the impressive mountains and gorges. Today we will see some nomads that still live in this region. Night and dinner will be in a home stay. This is a very remote village.

Kazarman – Naryn

After breakfast we will drive along high mountains to Naryn town. It is situated right in the gorge. These passes on the way, combined with high mountains and nomadic way of life – make Kyrgyzstan an irresistible travel destination. Views of this mountain road are absolutely breathtaking. This day offers a great chance to experience the variety of mountains which make Kyrgyzstan so popular. On the way it will be possible to meet real nomadic families. Night will be in a guesthouse.

Naryn – Kochkor

In the morning you will be transferred to Kochkor village. The road will go along amazing gorge and you will drive today over Dolon pass that is 3 030 meters high. In Kochkor village you will spend some time with a family that will show you the way our national felt carpets are produced. You even can create your own carpet together with them. Also you will visit a small handicraft museum there. They have many examples of silver decorations, coats made of wolfs, horse saddle decorations, carpets and many other things. Night will be in a home stay.

Kochkor – Karakol

Today you will be transferred to the celestial IssykKul Lake, the second largest alpine lake in the world. The lake is called "the pearl of Central Asia". For more than 1 500 years local people considered the lake to be a sacred one. You can come up to the lake and to see mountains all around it. We will have a break in Bokonbaeva village, where we will visit a local eagle-hunter. He hunts hares and foxes with the help of eagles (traditional way of nomads hunting). Then is transfer to famous gorge of Jeti-Oguz, Red Rocks. Also you will see there the Broken Heart Mountain. Then we continue our way to Karakol town. Night is in a guesthouse.

Karakol – Cholpon-Ata

Breakfast at the guest house. Transfer to Cholpon-Ata. On the road to Cholpon Ata visit «Semenovskoe» and «Grigoryevskoe» gorges. Picnic on the open air.In the evening – arrival in the hotel in Cholpon Ata.Dinner in the hotel.

Cholpon-Ata - Bishkek

Today you will be transferred to Bishek city. This time we will drive along the northern shore of IssykKul Lake. This is a great chance to see the whole lake from all sights. We will make a short break to give you the opportunity to visit ancient stone inscriptions (dating back to 800 B.C.). These petroglyphs were made more than 2 000 years ago by shamans. You can see a panorama view of the IssykKul Lake from this place – people were thinking that it was the middle of the world. On the way you will also visit Burana Tower (an 11th century minaret) and an open air museum of Balbans (stone warriors).Traditional dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Night is in a hotel.

Bishkek – Airport

In the morning is transfer to airport.

Notes

The climate in Kyrgyzstan is sharply continental, and throughout the day the temperature in the mountains can range from + 30 up to -15 degrees, that’s why we recommend the tourists to have warm shoes, warm clothing, sunscreen and sunglasses with them, as well as individual sleeping bags (in case of staying for a night in tents).
